This is a bag of plastic dinosaurs for children who want a whole herd at once rather than one expensive model, and it comes in two sizes: a bag of 6 dinosaurs or a bag of 10. The figures are moulded with scales, ridges and claws, and painted in bright orange, red, green, yellow and dark red, so each one is easy to tell apart on the floor.

The mix varies a little from bag to bag, but it is drawn from the dinosaurs children learn first: a stegosaurus with a row of plates down its back, a green T. rex with an open mouth, a red meat-eater on two legs, a yellow long-necked sauropod, a red horned dinosaur with a spiked frill like a triceratops, a parasaurolophus with a curved crest on its head, and a dark red pterosaur with its wings spread. Some species appear in more than one size and colour.

That variety is what makes the set useful as well as fun. A parent can name each one, sort them into plant-eaters and meat-eaters, line them up from smallest to biggest, or ask which ones could fly, and the figures become a first science lesson before school ever starts.

They come packed in a clear bag with a hanging header card printed Animal Planet; some packs carry an Animal Kingdom card instead, with the same kind of dinosaurs inside. The bag makes the set easy to store and easy to wrap as a gift.

There are no batteries and nothing to assemble, so the figures are ready for the sandpit, the bath edge or a shoebox volcano the moment the bag is opened. We suggest the set from three years.

The 6-piece bag is Rs. 1,199 and the 10-piece bag Rs. 1,799, both with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Gujrat. Choose the pack size when you order; stock, your city and the delivery charge are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.
