This is the outdoors-styled one. The flap is the design decision that matters. Instead of a zip running along the top edge in full view, the flap covers the opening, so the case reads as a clean panel rather than a bag with a zip across its face. It also means the closure is protected from the pencil dust and crumbs that collect in the bottom of a school bag.

Canvas is the right material for this look and it wears in rather than out. It softens with handling, takes a scuff without looking damaged, and the grey and navy pairing hides the marks a school year puts on anything carried daily.

It is a soft case with a generous body. Empty, it lies almost flat; loaded, it takes on depth and still slides into a bag beside a folder. The photograph with a pencil, a rubber and a pen beside it is there to give a sense of scale — those items are not part of the order.
