The P23 Pro folds. All four arms swing in against the body, the whole thing drops into the zip case supplied with it, and the case fits in a backpack — which matters far more than any spec line, because a drone that lives in a cupboard because it is awkward to carry never actually gets flown.

The camera cluster sits under the nose on a small mount rather than being glued flat into the shell, so the lens points where the drone is going instead of at the ground. Footage and stills come back over the 2.4GHz link; slot your phone into the folding cradle on the remote and you have a live view while you fly, without needing a separate screen.

A wide LED bar runs across the front of the fuselage and is genuinely useful rather than decorative. At dusk, which is when most people in Pakistan actually get outside to fly, it tells you which way the nose is pointing from thirty metres away — the single hardest thing to judge on a small dark drone.

The kit is the reason this one is worth its price. Alongside the drone and remote you get a lithium battery, a USB charging lead, four spare blades, four protective frames, a screwdriver, the printed manual and the carry case. Protective frames clip around the rotors for indoor and beginner flying and come off once the pilot has stopped hitting things.

It is marked ages 14 and up and it is the most serious of the drones we stock at this price. A younger child will fly it with a parent, but it rewards someone patient enough to learn proper stick control. Colours vary between batches, so ask before you order if the shade matters.
