This is a colour pencil built into a pen. One slim barrel holds a stack of twelve coloured tips, so instead of carrying twelve separate pencils a child carries a single pen and twists to the colour they want. The pack is marked LX-7031 and comes with the pen body, a clip cap and a clear spare tube for the tips not in use.

The tips are small cone-shaped colour leads that load nose to tail inside the barrel. When the tip in use wears down, it is pulled out and pushed in at the back, which pushes the next colour forward. Nothing needs sharpening, so there are no shavings, no sharpener to lose, and no pencil that gets too short to hold.

Twelve colours are supplied: orange, brown, navy, maroon, yellow and red on the top row, with black, dark blue, red, green, purple and dark green below.
