Description
These are left bare. No paint, no lacquer, just the natural wood of the barrel with the printing applied straight onto it, which is why the box calls the range Woodden. The finish is slightly warmer to hold than a glossy painted pencil and shows the grain of the timber underneath.
The barrel is triangular, which is the shape a child's hand wants before a proper tripod grip is established. Three broad flats put the thumb and first two fingers where they should be without anyone having to correct the hold, and the pencil will not roll away when it is set down.
