Dux prints the case for this pencil on its own box: eraser tip, triangle, created for better writing. That is the design in one line, a triangular barrel to fix the grip and a rubber already attached so a correction never waits on somebody else's eraser.

The triangular section is deeper than on a rounded pencil, giving three broad flats that a child's fingers settle onto without being told. It is the shape used in early-years handwriting programmes, and the same flats stop the pencil rolling when it is put down on a desk mid-sentence.

Barrels are finished in a graduated blue-to-purple lacquer with the range printed in white, and the box front carries a rainbow arc over the eraser illustration. HB is the writing grade, which is what schools list rather than the softer grades used for drawing.
