The green Pitt tin is the compact version of the monochrome idea. Same media as the big wooden cases, same German-made pencils, but in a flat metal box that fits in a bag and opens on a table without needing a whole desk cleared for it.

Inside, the layout is deliberate rather than decorative. Graphite pencils sit at one end, then Pitt pastel and oil-base pencils in the middle, then compressed charcoal and natural chalk sticks in white, sanguine and sepia along the other edge, with a kneadable eraser in its own green box.

That grouping is how a drawing actually progresses. Graphite lays down the structure, the pastel and oil-base pencils build tone that will not lift under a resting hand, and the chalks add the warm mid-tones and white highlights that make a monochrome study look finished rather than grey.

Three sizes are stocked. Twelve pieces is a working starter for tonal exercises. Twenty-one adds more chalk and charcoal to cover a wider range of surfaces. Thirty-three is close to a complete monochrome kit in a tin you can still carry.
