Description

Every child counts on their fingers first. This board takes that habit and makes it a puzzle: two big wooden hands, a red one marked Left and a green one marked Right, with ten lift-out fingers that each carry a number and its word.

The left hand holds one to five and the right hand six to ten, running from the little finger round to the thumb on each side. Each finger shows the numeral and the English word, one, two, three, and has a small red knob for lifting it out.

That layout teaches something a flat number chart cannot: that five fingers make one hand, and two hands make ten. Take away the left hand's fingers and a child sees five gone and five still there, the first idea of subtraction in the most familiar shape they know.

The palms lift out too, and a row of coloured numbers from 1 to 10 is printed along the bottom of the board, so a child can match each finger to its numeral in the row after putting the hands together.

It also helps with left and right, a lesson many children still mix up at school entry. The words on the palms and the two colours give a daily reminder while they play.

FAQs

How does the Finger Counting Peg Board work?

Two wooden hands have lift-out fingers numbered one to five on the left and six to ten on the right. Children count finger by finger, lift them out and fit them back.

How many pieces are there?

Twelve: ten finger pieces and the two palm pieces, all with small red knobs, sitting in recesses on the board.

What is printed on the fingers?

Each finger shows its numeral and English word, such as 3 and three, and the palms read Left and Right.

What age is it for?

The Finger Counting Peg Board suits children from about two and a half for counting to five, up to five or six for counting to ten and early adding.

Does it help with addition?

Yes, gently. Lifting out three fingers and leaving two shows five split into parts, and two full hands show five and five making ten, the start of number bonds.

What is the number row at the bottom for?

It is a printed line of coloured numbers from 1 to 10, so a child can lay each finger beside its numeral or say the count aloud while pointing.

Can it teach left and right?

It helps. The red palm is marked Left and the green palm Right, so matching them to a child's own hands becomes a small daily lesson.

Is the Finger Counting Peg Board made of wood?

Yes, a wooden board with painted wooden pieces and red knobs. No size, age marking or material certification is printed, so we do not claim any.

Can I pay cash on delivery for Finger Counting Peg Board in Pakistan?

Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.

How fast is delivery in Pakistan?

Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
