Description

Alif, bay, pay: for most Pakistani children the Urdu qaida starts at home, and this board makes it hands-on. Twenty-eight letter pieces sit in four rows of seven on a green wooden board, each with a small wooden knob so even a toddler can lift a letter out and put it back.

Each letter is printed in a bright colour on a white piece cut to follow its shape, so a child learns to recognise letters by their outline. The curve of a noon and the tall stroke of an alif need different holes, which makes the fitting itself a letter lesson.

Knob pieces make it the gentlest Urdu alphabet toy we sell for the youngest children, around two to four, before they can handle loose blocks or read from a wall chart.

One thing to know before you order: twenty-eight pieces is fewer than the thirty-seven to thirty-nine letters of the full Urdu haroof-e-tahajji taught in school. The board follows the shorter core set, so some letters of the full alphabet are not on the board. If a complete set matters, our Urdu foam charts carry all thirty-eight.

Used alongside a qaida, it works well: read a letter in the book, find its piece on the board, say its sound. When a child outgrows it, our wooden 3D Urdu board and Urdu wall charts are the natural next step.

FAQs

How many letters are on the Urdu Alphabet Peg Board?

Twenty-eight letter pieces in four rows of seven. That is the shorter core set, so it does not include every letter of the full 37 to 39-letter Urdu alphabet.

Which Urdu letters are missing?

The board follows the 28-letter core, so some letters of the full alphabet are not among the pieces. Message us on WhatsApp and we will photograph the board for you before you order.

What age is the Urdu Alphabet Peg Board for?

About two to four years. The knobs make it easy for toddlers, and it stays useful as a letter-recognition game while a child starts the qaida.

Do you have a complete Urdu alphabet toy?

Yes. Our Urdu foam wall charts carry all 38 letters, and our Haroof-e-Tahajji paper chart shows 39. This peg board is the hands-on starter.

How is it different from the wooden 3D Urdu board?

The 3D board has thick pieces without knobs for older children. The Urdu Alphabet Peg Board uses thin knobbed pieces that toddlers can lift easily, at a lower price.

Are the pieces shaped like the letters?

Yes, each white piece follows the outline of its printed letter, so a child has to look at the letter shape to find its hole.

Does it teach letter sounds?

The board shows letter shapes only, with no sounds or pictures, so a parent says each letter aloud. It works well next to a qaida for that reason.

Is it made of wood?

Yes, the Urdu Alphabet Peg Board is a printed wooden board with wooden pieces and knobs. No size, age marking or certification is printed, so none is claimed.

Can I pay cash on delivery for Urdu Alphabet Peg Board in Pakistan?

Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.

How fast is delivery in Pakistan?

Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
