Description
Keep Smiling Professional Studio Black Gesso 500ml (Item GE-500B) delivers massive surface coverage and heavy-bodied pigment density for fine art academies, professional muralists, and large-canvas studio painters throughout Pakistan.
Supplied in a high-volume 500ml (16.95 fluid ounce) wide-mouthed tub, this artist-grade primer utilizes concentrated carbon black particles dispersed within an elastic acrylic emulsion. A single broad coat seals raw canvas weave and unprimed wood panels, forming an ultra-dark light-absorbing background that gives silver, gold, fluorescent neon, and pale gouache colors extraordinary brilliance.
Engineered specifically for expansive working planes, the flexible acrylic polymer binder dries without shrinkage cracks, surface chalking, or brittle edge flaking when oversized canvases are restretched on wooden chassis frames.
The cured matte tooth accepts heavy palette knife impasto, oil glazes, airbrushing, and acrylic paint pens, making it an essential bulk supply for large gallery commissions, theatrical backdrops, and school art departments.

FAQs
How many square feet or canvas boards does a 500ml tub cover?
A single 500ml tub covers approximately 20 to 25 square feet of raw canvas, equivalent to roughly 14 to 18 standard 12x16 inch canvas panels with a generous single coat.
Is this 500ml black gesso suitable for mural walls and large wooden panels?
Yes. The heavy-bodied acrylic formula adheres strongly to interior wooden boards, plywood, MDF panels, plaster walls, and unprimed masonry.
Can I apply oil colors directly over this Keep Smiling black primer?
Yes. The sealed acrylic barrier completely blocks raw linseed oil penetration, shielding underlying canvas fibers from acid decay.
How quickly does a heavy layer of black gesso dry in studio conditions?
Under normal indoor studio temperature, it dries to the touch in 30 minutes and fully cures for paint application within 60 to 90 minutes.
Can I dilute this gesso with water for spray guns or fluid washes?
Yes. You can dilute with up to 20% clean water to achieve a thinner sprayable consistency for airbrush priming or smooth wash base coats.
What is the shelf life of this 500ml gesso tub once opened?
When the airtight screw lid is closed tightly after each session, the gesso maintains its creamy consistency for up to 3 years.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Keep Smiling Black Gesso 500ml in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch, with delivery taking 3-5 working days across Pakistan.
