Description

This is the square one. Where most alphabet trays are wide and shallow, this board is close to a perfect square with the letters arranged five rows deep, and the layout changes how it gets used: it sits on a lap or a small stool rather than needing a whole table, and a child reaches the middle rows without leaning across.

Twenty-six capital letters, A to Z, each cut thick and painted in a soft palette — coral, sky blue, lemon, mint, lilac, peach. The colours are gentler than the primary reds and blues most alphabet boards use, which some parents prefer on a shelf and which makes the letter shapes, rather than the colour, the loudest thing on the board.

Every piece stands on its own feet once it is out of the tray. That is the single most useful property a letter block has: standing an N up and knocking it over shows a child which way round it goes, and lining up C-A-T on a table turns letters into a word without a worksheet.

There are no knobs. A child grips the whole letter, which suits three years and up and keeps the pieces usable as loose parts — sorting by colour, standing them in a row, matching them against a story book page.

If you already have our wide 3D letter board, this is a different tray, not a second copy: it is square, the letters run five to a row instead of six and seven, and the colours are pastel rather than primary. Some families buy both and use one for capitals practice and one for spelling out words.

Why this product is worth considering

Square Tray, Five Rows

Letters run five to a row on a near-square board, so a child can reach the middle without leaning across a table.

All 26 Capitals

A to Z, one piece each, cut thick enough to stand upright once they are out of the tray.

Pastel Palette

Coral, sky blue, lemon, mint, lilac and peach — softer than the usual primaries, so the letter shape leads.

No Knobs to Grip

A child holds the whole letter, which keeps the pieces usable as loose parts for sorting and spelling away from the board.

Letters That Stand Up

Standing an N on its feet and knocking it over is how a child works out which way round the letter belongs.

Self-Correcting Recesses

Each letter has its own cut hole, so a piece in the wrong place sits proud instead of dropping flat.

FAQs

How is the Square Capital Alphabet Board laid out?

Twenty-six capitals on a near-square tray, five letters to a row rather than the six or seven of a wide board, so the whole alphabet sits within easy reach.

How is it different from the wide 3D letter board?

Different tray, not a second copy of the same one. This is square with five letters per row and a pastel palette; the wide board is landscape with six and seven per row in primary colours.

Do the letters have knobs?

No. The pieces are thick enough to grip whole and to stand on their own feet, which is what lets a child line them up as words away from the tray.

Are they capitals or small letters?

Capitals only, A to Z. Children usually meet capitals first because the shapes are more distinct from each other than small letters are.

Can a child spell words with the pieces?

Yes, within the letters available — there is one of each, so a word with a double letter such as BALL cannot be built from a single board.

What age suits it?

From about two and a half for taking pieces out and putting them back, and from four for naming letters, standing them upright and building short words.

Is the tray printed or plain?

The tray is plain wood with only the cut recesses in it. All the colour is in the letters, so there is no printing on the base to wear off.

Is an age or brand marked on it?

No age marking, brand name or size is printed anywhere on the board. We suggest three years and up, with an adult nearby for younger children because a small letter would fit in a mouth.

Can I pay cash on delivery for Square Capital Alphabet Board in Pakistan?

Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.

How fast is delivery in Pakistan?

Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
