This is the big one. The Velcro Fruit and Vegetable Cutting Set arrives as a heaped blue basket of play food: watermelon, kiwi, orange, lemon, strawberry, peach and grapes on the fruit side, and carrot, corn, aubergine, broccoli, cabbage, tomato and red and green peppers on the vegetable side. A blue chopping board and a toy knife with a pink handle complete it, for Rs. 1,499 with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan.

Each piece is two halves held together with velcro. Cut a watermelon on the board and it opens to show red flesh and black seeds; cut a kiwi and the green ring of seeds appears; cut an orange and you get the segments. The printed insides are what children love most, and they are the reason the same fruit gets cut, rejoined and cut again in one sitting.

Because there is so much of it, the set works for two or three children at once. One runs the fruit stall, one chops on the board, one carries orders across the room in the basket. Siblings who fight over a small set usually have enough here to share without anyone being left with only a carrot.

The variety also turns it into a learning toy without trying. Children sort fruit from vegetables, line up everything red, count the halves, or name each piece as it comes out of the basket. With three and four year olds it makes an easy naming and sorting game at the dining table.

It is a favourite with video makers as well. Creators who film toy cutting and ASMR videos for YouTube buy cutting sets from us, and this assortment gives them a different cross-section on every cut, with the velcro rip as the sound track.

Everything is plastic and nothing needs batteries. The open-weave basket holds the whole set when play is over. We confirm stock, your city and the delivery charge on WhatsApp before dispatch to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi or anywhere else in Pakistan.
