Water goes into the funnel and smoke comes out of it. That is the difference between this set and every cheaper train on the shelf: a few drops from the supplied bottle, and the locomotive trails a plume as it runs, with the headlight lit and the engine sound playing underneath. It is the effect children remember, and the reason this set sits at the top of the non-remote range.

The locomotive is finished in black with gold lining and reads Dignity Train and Nobleness along the boiler and cab. Behind it run two freight wagons — a hopper lettered Nice. Dignity and a low gondola lettered Conveyance — both carrying moulded coal loads. The box is branded Alloy Smart Locomotive, Metal Edition, model 19060-5.

The track sections join into an oval measured on the packaging at 130 x 78 cm, which needs a clear floor rather than a table. That size is the point: the train disappears behind furniture at one end of the circuit and comes back trailing smoke, which a one-metre loop cannot do.

Assembly is push-fit. The sections click together, the wagons hook behind the locomotive, and the water bottle in the box fills the funnel. There is nothing to glue, nothing to screw and no app — the whole set is ready in the time it takes to clear a rug out of the way.

The supplier lists the body as ABS with a metal-style finish rather than solid metal, and the set is sold without batteries. It suits children from three with an adult handling the water and the smoke unit, and it makes an obvious birthday present for a child who already owns a small train and has outgrown the loop it came with.
