Half apple, half monkey, all personality. The body is a shiny red apple with a green stalk on top, the face is a cheeky cartoon monkey with big red eyes and a wide open grin, and the little figure stands on two oversized brown shoes with green gloved hands pointing and waving.

Switch it on and it dances. It shifts its weight from shoe to shoe and swings its arms while music plays and lights flash, so it looks like it is showing off a dance move it has just learned. Children usually respond by dancing back at it.

It is small and round — about 16 cm across and 12 cm tall — so it fits on a study table, a bedside shelf or a car's back seat tray. The shape is rounded all over, with no sharp points on the stalk or hands.

A dancing character is a simple way to get a toddler moving, laughing and copying actions, and it makes a cheerful small gift that does not take up much space in a crowded toy basket.

Place it on a flat surface before switching on, so it keeps its balance while dancing. It is battery operated and suits children from three years.
