The two ends do different jobs, marked with a pencil icon on the red side and a pen nib on the blue.
One of the printings we have photographed, marked Latex-Free with the article number 18 70 40 and Made in Malaysia. Another printing of the same eraser is marked Natural Rubber Eraser — ask us which is in stock if the wording matters to you.
Description
The Faber-Castell 7070-40 is the classic two-tone school eraser: red at one end for pencil, blue at the other for ink, with the knights logo across the middle. A pencil icon beside the red end and a pen nib beside the blue tell you which side is which without having to remember.
In practice the red side does most of the work, lifting graphite off notebook and worksheet paper cleanly. The blue side is firmer and abrasive because it is meant to scrub ink away — which on thin paper means working gently, since the action that removes ink also takes a little of the sheet with it.
It is a slim block, the size that fits a pencil case without argument, and it is supplied loose rather than in a sleeve. The printing sits on the rubber itself and wears away as the eraser is used down.
One thing to know before ordering. Faber-Castell has produced this eraser in more than one printing, and the units we have photographed do not agree on the material wording: some are marked 7070-40 Natural Rubber Eraser, others carry the article number 18 70 40 with a Latex-Free marking and Made in Malaysia. If that wording matters to you, message us on WhatsApp and we will check which printing is in stock before your order goes out.
For everyday pencil and ink work either printing does the same job — the difference is in what is stamped on the rubber. We would rather tell you that than quietly pick whichever version sounds better.

FAQs
Is the Faber-Castell 7070-40 latex-free?
It depends on the printing. Some units are marked "Latex-Free" with the article number 18 70 40 and Made in Malaysia; others are marked "7070-40 Natural Rubber Eraser". If you need the latex-free version — for an allergy, for instance — message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm which is in stock before dispatch.
Which end is for pencil and which for ink?
Red for pencil, blue for ink. Faber-Castell prints a pencil icon beside the red end and a pen nib beside the blue one, so you do not have to remember which is which.
Does the blue side really remove ballpoint ink?
It lifts some ink, because the blue end of this eraser is abrasive rather than soft. It works by taking a little of the paper surface along with the ink, so press lightly on thin paper and expect the sheet to end up thinner where you have worked.
Does this eraser come with a wrapper?
No. The Faber-Castell name, the model number and the pencil and nib icons are printed straight onto the rubber, and that printing wears away as the eraser is used down.
What does 7070-40 mean?
It is Faber-Castell's model number for this combination eraser. The same product also carries the article number 18 70 40 on some printings.
Is it a good choice for a school bag?
Yes — it is slim, inexpensive and covers both jobs a school notebook usually needs. If you only ever erase pencil, a plain white eraser such as the Pelikan AL 30 will last longer for similar money.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Faber-Castell 7070-40 Eraser in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
WhatsApp confirms stock, selected option, city and delivery charges before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
