This one has a trick, and the trick is the entire toy. Press it flat and the shell folds into a nine-inch disc that you throw like a frisbee. Somewhere along the flight path it lets go and snaps back into a six-inch ball — so whoever throws it sends a disc and whoever catches it receives a ball. Nobody catches it properly the first three times.

The delay before it pops is variable, set by how far you squeeze it down. Press it lightly and it opens almost immediately off your hand; press it fully and it stays flat long enough to cross a lawn. That single adjustment is what stops the game getting boring after ten minutes, because the person catching never quite knows when the shape will change.

The shell is soft PVC in six hinged petals around a central hub. Soft matters for a toy designed to be caught wrong: it arrives at a child's hands as a light ball rather than a hard edge, and it will not chip paint or crack a pot if a throw goes wide. The hinges do the work, so there is nothing to inflate, wind up or assemble.

Three LED lights are built into the band around the middle, which is what makes this worth having over a plain frisbee. They turn a garden or a rooftop into a usable play space after Maghrib, when it is finally cool enough in most of Pakistan to be outside and too dark for an ordinary ball.

It ships in a random colour. The ones we photograph are red with a yellow hub, blue with an orange band and green, and there is no way to reserve a particular one — if the colour genuinely matters, ask on WhatsApp what is in the box before ordering. There is no age printed on the packaging; the squeeze-and-throw action suits roughly six years upwards, and younger children enjoy it as a catching game with an adult.

The Safencia price is Rs. 1,399 with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. Stock and delivery charges are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.
