Description

اِقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ — read in the name of your Lord who created. It is the opening verse of Surah Al-Alaq and the first verse of the Quran ever revealed, and the word it begins with, iqra, means read. There is no line in the language better suited to the wall of a place where children are learning to do exactly that.

Here it is set in raised green foam on a plain white board, one line running right to left across the whole width. The green against white is the reason to choose this one over a loose calligraphy set: the board gives the letters a clean, even background regardless of what colour the classroom wall is painted, and it goes up as a single piece rather than letter by letter.

The proportions are worth noticing. The board is wide and shallow, which is the shape of a doorway lintel rather than a poster, and that is where most schools put it — above the entrance to a classroom, a library or a Quran room, where it is read on the way in without taking any usable wall space.

For a teacher, the value is that the verse is short enough for a whole class to memorise in one sitting and important enough to be worth the time. Children who have already learned it recognise the shape of the words on the wall long before they can read Arabic fluently, which is the quiet way a chart like this earns its place over a year.

There is nothing adhesive on the back of the board and no dimension is printed on it or the banner, so we describe neither. Because it is one solid board rather than separate letters, double-sided tape or glue dots along the back edge is all it needs. Ask us on WhatsApp and we will measure the piece in stock.

FAQs

What verse is on the board?

اِقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ, meaning read in the name of your Lord who created. It is the opening verse of Surah Al-Alaq and the first verse of the Quran to be revealed.

Is it letters on a board or loose calligraphy?

On a board. The Iqra Dua Chart is one white foam panel with the green Arabic raised on it, so it hangs in a single piece with no letters to line up.

Where do schools usually put it?

Above a doorway. The board is wide and shallow like a lintel, so it is normally fixed over the entrance to a classroom, a library or a Quran room where it is read on the way in.

Will it suit a coloured wall?

Yes. Because the Iqra Dua Chart has its own white board behind the calligraphy, the colour of the wall makes no difference to how clearly the green letters read.

What age is it for?

Any age in a school. Nursery classes recognise the shape of the words, and older pupils read it properly — the verse is short enough for a whole class to memorise in one sitting.

Does it come with adhesive?

No. Nothing on the back is sticky and no fixing method is printed on the board, so we claim none. Being one solid piece, tape or glue dots along the back edge is enough.

How big is the board?

No measurement is printed on the board or the banner, so we will not quote one. Message us on WhatsApp and we will measure the Iqra Dua Chart in stock for you.

Is a model code printed on it?

Yes, FS-62, in the yellow oval at the end of the red banner. Quote it and the identical board comes back on a repeat order.

Can I pay cash on delivery for Iqra Dua Chart in Pakistan?

Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.

How fast is delivery in Pakistan?

Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
