Moti is the bead every craft box in Pakistan runs out of first. These are round pearl-finish beads with the glossy coating that catches light from across a room, supplied sealed in a hanging pack with a kraft header card.
The photographed mix runs deep red, apple green and cream, in more than one size within the pack. Larger beads carry the centre of a piece and the smaller ones fill between them, which is what stops a strung length looking mechanical.
Where they end up is mostly clothing and jewellery. Moti go onto dupatta and neckline embroidery, kurta cuffs, bridal and mehndi decoration, tassels and latkans, hair accessories, and the strung malas that get made for weddings and school functions in large numbers.
