The Granite name comes from the barrel finish: a dark speckled black that reads as stone rather than as painted wood, with a fine green line running down one edge. On a desk it looks closer to a professional drafting pencil than to a school one, which is most of its appeal to older students.

The box carries the same treatment, a black carbon-textured card printed with the range name in bold white and the Art #511 reference along the side. Twelve pencils sit inside, with the HB grade and the piece count marked on the front.

At the end is a white eraser held in a gold ferrule. Gold rather than plain aluminium is a small styling choice, but it is the reason these look deliberate rather than budget, and the ferrule is crimped so the rubber does not walk out of the band in a bag.
