Sequence is the card-and-board strategy game that Pakistani families now search for by name. The board is a grid of playing cards, every card in two decks except the jacks, with a free corner square in each corner. Play a card from your hand, put one of your chips on a matching square, and try to get five chips in a row, a sequence, before the other team does.

The jacks are what turn it from luck into strategy. As the board itself reminds you, two-eyed jacks are wild and let you place a chip anywhere, while one-eyed jacks remove an opponent's chip. Holding a jack back for the right moment is half the skill, and blocking the other team's almost-finished row is the other half.

This set comes with the playing board, its own Sequence playing cards and poker-style chips in blue, green and red, enough colours for two or three teams. It is one of the easiest games to teach at a family gathering: if someone can recognise playing cards, they can play within one round. Children practise matching, planning ahead and taking turns, and adults get a proper contest, which is why it is a favourite at weddings, Eid visits and office game nights.

Sequence is played by 2 to 12 people, alone or in two or three teams, and we suggest it from about 7 years, when children can hold a hand of cards and follow the jacks rule.
