Sorry! is Hasbro's classic family board game of sweet revenge, in its white box with the big green and red pawns on the front. Instead of dice, players draw a card to see how far to move, race their four pawns around the board and into their Home, and say Sorry! as they knock an opponent's pawn back to Start.

The board is the colourful square track with a Start circle, a Safety Zone and a Home in each colour, plus the slide arrows that whisk a pawn several squares forward when it lands on the start of one. Each player gets four pawns in red, blue, yellow or green, sixteen in all, and the deck of Sorry! cards sits in the middle of the board.

The cards are what make it more than a race. Some move you backwards, some split a move between two pawns, and the Sorry! card lets you move a pawn from your Start straight onto a rival's square and bump that pawn back to its own Start. The box sums it up: slide, bump and send your opponents back to start. Its front also carries the Fire & Ice Power-Ups banner of this edition.

It is a game children understand within a couple of turns, which makes it ideal for mixed ages: a six-year-old can beat a grandfather with one lucky card. It teaches counting, turn-taking and losing gracefully, which is useful on any family holiday.

The box is marked for ages 6 and up and for 2 to 4 players, and it comes with a black plastic tray that keeps the cards and pawns together between games.
