This little unicorn is shaped like an old-fashioned rocking horse, but it does not rock: hidden under its curved white base are small black wheels. Press the white button on its back, let go, and the unicorn rolls away across the floor by itself. Children who have just learnt that pressing makes things happen will do it again and again.

There is nothing to switch on. The press of a small hand is the only power it needs, so there are no batteries to buy, no charger and nothing that can run flat halfway through a game.

Each unicorn has a white body and a white horn, big dark eyes and a thick curly mane and tail in one bold colour. Choose blue, red, yellow or purple when you order. The rocker base is printed with yellow lightning bolts, a yellow paw print and a dashed yellow stripe along each side.

It is a small toy that sits in a child's hands, not a ride-on rocking horse; sixteen of them fit in the shop display box shown in the photos. You receive one unicorn in the colour you choose. The box lists what the toy is about in three words, a lovely model, smooth rolling and bright colours, and calls it a parent-child toy.

Unicorn races are the favourite game: line two or three up on the floor, press them together and see which one rolls furthest. Younger children chase it across the room and bring it back for another go, and older ones add it to their doll and pony games. At Rs. 650 each it also works as a birthday return gift for a class of unicorn fans.

The display box is marked 3+. Buy it with Cash on Delivery anywhere in Pakistan, from Karachi and Lahore to Islamabad, Quetta and Gujranwala. Stock, the colour you want, your city and the delivery charge are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.
