One wooden capital for every card, from A for Alligator through to Z for Zebra — nothing is shared and nothing is missing.
The A for Alligator card with its wooden letter in place, measured at 8.5 x 8.5 cm, shown beside the box, the cotton drawstring bag and a 5 cm tall letter A.
Description
Every letter in this set has a home. The child picks up a wooden A, finds the card with the alligator on it, and presses the letter into the shaped recess until it clicks flat. That single action is doing three things at once — recognising the letter shape, hearing its sound in a word, and getting the hand to place it accurately — which is why it holds attention far longer than a flashcard does.
There are 26 capital letters in painted wood and 26 cards, one per letter. Each card is 8.5 x 8.5 cm, thick enough for a three-year-old to hold at the corner without bending it, and each letter stands about 5 cm tall and 4 cm wide, sized for a small fist rather than a pincer grip.
The animals were chosen to be worth talking about: A alligator, B butterfly, C caterpillar, D duck, E elephant, F flamingo, G goose, H horse, I iguana, J jellyfish, K kangaroo, L ladybug, M monkey, N narwhal, O octopus, P polar bear, Q quail, R rat, S squirrel, T turtle, U unicorn, V vulture, W walrus, X x-ray fish, Y yak and Z zebra. Half of them are animals a Pakistani child will not meet at the zoo, so the set doubles as a first vocabulary book.
Because the letters are loose, the set outlives the matching game. Older children spell their own name on the floor, lay out three-letter words, or sort the letters by colour before putting them away. Teachers and home-schooling parents use the cards face-down as a memory game, and the letters alone as a movable alphabet for early writing.
Everything packs into the cotton drawstring bag that comes with it, which is the difference between a set that survives a year and one that loses its Q in the first week. The bag also makes it a sensible thing to carry to a grandparent's house or on a flight.
The box is marked for ages 3 and up. The letters are small enough to be a mouthing risk for a younger sibling, so keep the bag out of reach between sessions. FAQs
How many pieces are in the Wooden ABC Alphabet Cards set?
Fifty-two pieces plus the bag: 26 wooden capital letters and 26 picture cards, one card for every letter of the alphabet.
Which animal is on each card?
One per letter — alligator, butterfly, caterpillar, duck, elephant, flamingo, goose, horse, iguana, jellyfish, kangaroo, ladybug, monkey, narwhal, octopus, polar bear, quail, rat, squirrel, turtle, unicorn, vulture, walrus, x-ray fish, yak and zebra. The English name is printed beside each picture.
Are the letters capital or lowercase?
All 26 wooden letters are capitals, and the recess in each card is cut to that capital shape. Lowercase letters are not included in this set.
How big are the cards and the wooden letters?
Each card measures 8.5 x 8.5 cm. A letter stands about 5 cm tall and 4 cm wide, and it is thick enough to pick up by its edge rather than pinching it.
What age is this alphabet card set for?
The box is marked 3 years and up. Younger toddlers can enjoy naming the animals with an adult, but the loose letters are small, so keep the set away from children who still put things in their mouths.
Is a storage bag included, or do the cards come loose?
A cotton drawstring bag is included and holds the full set. That matters with 52 loose pieces — one missing letter is the usual way an alphabet set stops being useful.
Can a child use it before they know their letters?
Yes. At first it is a shape-fitting toy: the letter only sits flat in its own recess, so a child succeeds by shape alone and learns the name and sound from you while they play.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Wooden ABC Alphabet Cards in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
