Animals, transport, fruits, shapes, clothing, numbers, stationery and vegetables — eight slots on the lid, eight compartments below.
The sorting box with tiles posted through the green lid, measured at 10.9 x 3.8 x 3.1 inch, beside the eight categories and a 1.1 inch tile shown to scale.
Description
Sorting is one of the first pieces of real thinking a child does. Before a toddler can add, they have to work out that a zebra and a panda belong together and a bus does not. This box gives that idea a physical form: eight slots in a green sliding lid, eight compartments underneath, and a pile of picture tiles that have to be posted into the right one.
The eight categories are animals, transport, fruits, shapes, clothing, numbers, stationery and vegetables. Each has its own wooden reference strip printed with that category's pictures, so a child who is unsure can lay the strip beside the box and check where a tile belongs instead of guessing or waiting to be told.
The tiles are wooden squares of 1.1 x 1.1 inch — a good size for a toddler to pick up flat off a table and post through a slot. Some carry a picture only; others, like the vegetable tiles, print the English word next to it, so an older child reads while a younger one matches. The box itself is 10.9 x 3.8 x 3.1 inch, small enough to sit between two children on a rug.
The green lid slides off completely, which is what makes the box worth its price. With the lid off, the eight compartments turn into a tray for putting the tiles away by category — the tidying up is the same sorting exercise as the game, and children do it without being asked twice.
Two children can play at once, one on each side of the box, and it works just as well as a one-to-one activity with a parent. Older children invent their own rules: naming the picture before posting it, doing a category against the clock, or turning all the tiles face down for a memory round. The numbers strip runs 1 to 10, so it also gets used for counting practice on its own.
The box is solid wood with dovetailed corners and a smooth finish; the tiles are sanded flat with no sharp corners. No age is printed on the product. We suggest three years and up, and an adult nearby with a younger child, because a 1.1 inch tile is small enough to go in a mouth. The Safencia price is Rs. 6,000 with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

FAQs
What are the eight categories in the Wooden Sorting Sensory Box?
Animals, transport, fruits, shapes, clothing, numbers, stationery and vegetables. Each has its own slot on the lid, its own compartment inside, and its own printed reference strip.
How big is the box and how big are the tiles?
The sorting box measures 10.9 x 3.8 x 3.1 inch. Each wooden picture tile is a square of 1.1 x 1.1 inch, flat enough to stack and small enough to post through a lid slot.
How does a child know which slot a tile goes in?
Each category has a wooden strip printed with its own pictures. The child lays the strip beside the box, finds the matching picture, and posts the tile into that slot — so the answer comes from the material rather than from an adult.
Does the lid come off to get the tiles out?
Yes. The green lid slides off the sorting box completely, so the eight compartments underneath can be tipped out or used as an open wooden tray.
What age is the sorting box suitable for?
Nothing is printed on the sorting box itself. We suggest three years and up, with an adult nearby for younger children, because a 1.1 inch wooden tile is a mouthing risk for a toddler.
Do the tiles have words on them or only pictures?
Both. Most wooden tiles carry a picture only, and some print the English word beside it — carrot, broccoli, tomato and hexagon are examples — so the box carries a child from matching into early reading.
Is the sorting box real wood or MDF?
The box, the lid frame and the tiles are wood. The corners are dovetailed rather than nailed, and the sliding lid is a moulded green panel with eight cut slots.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Wooden Sorting Sensory Box in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
