Rings come off the rod and the answer is what remains — subtraction becomes something a child can see instead of recall.
All five rods loaded — blue, red, green, yellow and orange rings — over a base printed One, Two, Three, Four and Five.
Description
Almost every counting toy teaches adding. This one is built around taking away, which is the half that children find harder and that most toys skip. Five rings sit on a rod. The card behind says 5 − 2 =. The child slides two rings off and counts what is left. The answer is not remembered or guessed — it is sitting there on the rod.
Five arched rods stand along a red base printed One, Two, Three, Four and Five, each with its own colour of rings: blue, red, green, yellow and orange. The arch matters more than it looks. A straight post lets rings fly off the top and roll under furniture; these curve over and come back down, so rings stay on the toy while a child is working.
The wooden card that stands behind the rods is printed with a whole ladder of subtraction: five take away one through to five take away five, then the fours, the threes and the twos, with A − B = ? across the top. A parent does not have to invent questions and a child can work down the card alone once they know how it goes.
Because the rings slide freely, the same frame does simple counting long before subtraction means anything — put three on, count them, take one off, count again. Sorting the rings back into their own colours is a job a much younger sibling can do at the same table.
The base and rods are moulded in red and the rings are painted in five flat colours. There is nothing to charge, no sound and nothing that can go flat, which is what makes it a useful ten minutes during a power cut.

FAQs
What does the Counting and Subtraction Frame actually teach?
Take-away. A child loads a rod, reads a sum from the card behind, slides that many rings off, and counts what is left — so the answer is visible rather than remembered.
What sums are printed on the card?
A ladder running from five take away one down to five take away five, then the fours, the threes and the twos, with A − B = ? printed across the top as the general form.
How many rings come with it?
No ring count is printed on the toy or its packaging, so we do not state one. The photographs show five rods, each loaded with its own colour of rings.
Why are the rods curved?
So rings stay on the toy. A straight post lets a ring shoot off the top and roll away; the arch brings it back down, which keeps a session going instead of turning into a search.
Is the sums card fixed or removable?
It stands behind the rods in the base. Photographs show it in place on every board, so plan on it staying with the toy rather than being swapped for a blank one.
Can it be used for addition too?
Yes, by loading rings on instead of taking them off — three on this rod and two more makes five. The printed card only covers subtraction, so addition is led by the adult.
What age suits it best?
Around four to seven for the sums. Younger children use it from about three as a slide-and-count toy, with an adult nearby because the rings are small enough to go in a mouth.
Is any age or brand printed on it?
No age marking, brand name or size is printed anywhere on the frame. We suggest three years and up with supervision, and four and up for the sums card to mean anything.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Counting and Subtraction Frame in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
