Twelve round pots of metallic paint standing in a clear moulded tray, each with a mirrored base that throws the colour back at you before the lid is even off. The card behind them carries the Art Club mark in a yellow band, then METALLIC WATER COLOUR, and beneath that the line Metallic Box / Water-soluble / non-toxic. A blue and gold anemone runs across the face, and the count sits in a box at the foot: 12 PCS / PZ.

Pots rather than pans is the whole practical difference. A metallic pan has to be woken with water and worked before it gives up its flake; a pot already holds the paint wet, so a brush goes straight in and comes out fully loaded. For lettering, for a gold edge on a card, or for anything where you want one clean confident stroke, that saves the step where a half-charged brush lays a thin, patchy line.

The Mont Marte names every shade and adds a water brush, a sponge and a palette; this one does not, and the price reflects exactly that.

The twelve run through the usual metallic vocabulary — a magenta and a pink, a red, two blues, a teal, a yellow and a gold, a peach, and two or three silvers and near-whites. They are not named on the pack, so a shade cannot be reordered by name the way a Mont Marte one can. If repeatability matters more than price, that is the trade.

The card describes the paint as water-soluble and non-toxic, and calls it Artist Quality Metallic Watercolour. That is the maker's own wording printed on the pack, not a claim of ours; what we can tell you from the photographs is the count, the format and the mirrored pots.
