The Black Paper Artist Sketchpad features 20 sheets of rich, pitch-black 120 g/m² art paper bound in a durable wire-O double spiral binding. Sized at standard DIN A4 (21 x 29.7 cm), this pad provides a dramatic dark ground that transforms light media into vibrant, glowing artwork.

Working on black paper allows artists to approach lighting and value from a reverse perspective: instead of shading darks, you build highlights and luminosity. White gel pens, metallic ink markers, pastel pencils, soft chalk pastels, charcoal sticks, and gouache paints render with extraordinary vibrancy against the deep black background.

The 120gsm paper weight provides good opacity and surface strength. It withstands multiple pencil passes, light blending stump friction, and dry pastels without scuffing or thinning, while the subtle surface grain tooth captures pigments evenly without excessive dusting.

The sturdy wire-O spiral along the long landscape edge allows the pad to lay completely flat on desks or fold back 360 degrees for handheld sketching on the move. Stiff front and back card covers protect finished sheets from creasing and corner damage.

The single-pad edition includes 20 acid-free black sheets at the verified Safencia price of Rs. 525, making it an indispensable sketching pad for calligraphy artists, students and illustrators.
