Description
Every child who loves a zinger has wanted to squash one flat, and this is the one they are allowed to. The burger squishy is a chunky hamburger with a glossy golden top bun scattered with white sesame seeds, a band of green lettuce and an orange layer of filling, and a matching bottom bun.
Press down on the top and the whole burger squashes, the layers bulging out at the sides like a real burger in a tight grip, then it rises slowly back to full height. Squeeze it from the side and the top bun folds over under the thumb. The slow recovery makes it satisfying to squash again and again.
It fills an adult palm and needs two small hands, so it is a substantial squeeze rather than a pocket toy. Children also use the burger squishy as pretend food in play kitchens and toy shops, where it looks far more convincing than a hard plastic burger.
