This Mama Papa bag holds a little zoo of six: a blue elephant, a green frog in a pink bow tie, a pink goose, a yellow hippo in a scarf, a woolly white lamb holding a flower and an orange bear with a camera. Each one is a soft squeezy toy that squeaks when pressed, the kind of squeaky bath toy Pakistani families simply call chu chu.

The animals are big enough to fill a small hand and soft enough to squash, which is exactly what a one-year-old wants to do with them. Squeeze the frog and it squeaks; drop the goose in the tub and it floats. Every animal has its own colour and a little detail to spot, the bow tie, the scarf, the camera, which keeps a toddler busy long after the novelty of the sound wears off.

Six different animals make bath time and floor time a naming game. Ask for the elephant, wait for the hand to reach the right one, then say the animal's sound together: this is how first words and animal sounds are picked up at home.

Water gets into every squeaky toy through its squeak hole. When the bath ends, squeeze each animal with the hole pointing down until it runs dry, then stand the animals upside down on a towel to finish drying.

We recommend them from 12 months, with an adult beside the tub. Order with Cash on Delivery anywhere in Pakistan, from Islamabad and Lahore to Karachi; stock, your city and the delivery charge are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.
