Gigante means giant, and Milan is not exaggerating. The 403 is a thick, near-square cream block that fills the palm — several times the volume of the white 406, and the largest block eraser we stock.
The size buys two things. A broad flat face clears a wide area in one pass instead of a dozen small strokes, which matters on a large sheet or a technical drawing. And there is simply far more rubber to wear through, so it survives work that would finish an ordinary block.
Like the rest of Milan's range it is printed straight onto the rubber: MILAN GIGANTE, the model number 403 and made in SPAIN, with the barcode running down one side. No sleeve, nothing to lose.
The material is the same firm synthetic rubber as the 406 — the difference is the body. Rounded corners and a deep profile give you something you can actually grip, which for anyone who finds a thin school eraser fiddly to hold is reason enough on its own.
It is the most expensive block on this page and it should not be the default choice. Buy it if you work large, erase a great deal, or want an eraser that lives on a desk for a long time. For a school bag, the 406 or a Pelikan block makes far more sense.
