Description
This is the big-tube end of Mont Marte's Signature acrylic line: black boxes, 36 mL tubes printed 1.2 US fl.oz, sold as 18, 24, 36 or 48 colours. The English blurb on the back reads that the paints offer great coverage and dry quickly to a semi-matte finish, and it is repeated in French and Spanish. The pack also carries a barcode, the model code MSCH3636_V01, an SDS reference to montmarte.net, a Conforms to ASTM D-4236 line and NON TOXIC.
The reason to look closely at the back of this box is that Mont Marte prints the pigment index beside every colour name — something almost no paint set at this price does. Titanium White is PW6, Ultramarine Blue is PB29, Phthalo Green is PG7, Lamp Black is PBk7, Magenta is PR122. That matters for two reasons. It tells a serious painter exactly what is in the tube, and it exposes what a bigger set actually buys you: Burnt Umber, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna and Raw Sienna all print the same three pigments, PBr7, PR264 and PBk7, in different ratios. Gold and Silver carry no pigment index at all, just a C.

The printed chart names all thirty-six shades in the range, from Titanium White and Lemon Yellow through Carmine, Deep Cyan, Monastral Green and Raw Sienna to Lamp Black, Gold and Silver. The box artwork is credited to Joe Thompson and the set is designed in Australia, made in China.
