The assembled mobile: butterfly unit at the top, green arch below it and five animal rattles hanging within a baby's view.
Description
A cot mobile is the first toy a baby uses lying down, and this one is built around that: a white arm curves out over the cot, a green clamp at its foot screws onto the rail, and five animal rattles hang at the height a baby can see from their back. The butterfly at the top is the working part - it carries the music, the light and the turning mechanism the box marks as 360-degree rotation.
The five figures are a pink elephant, a white rabbit, a green duck, a blue bear and a yellow monkey. They are moulded rattles rather than soft toys, in the strong flat colours a young baby can actually pick out, and they turn slowly enough to be followed rather than just noticed.
What it does changes with the months. In the first weeks a newborn mostly tracks the movement and settles to the music. By three or four months the same baby is watching the individual figures go round, and by the time they are reaching and batting at things, the mobile usually comes off the cot and the rattles become hand toys.
The clamp is the part to check before you order: it grips the upright rail of an ordinary baby cot and tightens with a screw, so it suits a standard wooden or metal cot rather than a solid-sided Moses basket or a pram. Fitting takes a minute and needs no tools.
It runs on AA cells, and they are not in the box - worth adding to the order if there is no spare set in the house, because a mobile with flat cells is just a decoration. Safencia lists it from birth, with the usual advice that a mobile stays fixed above the cot and out of a baby's reach.

FAQs
How does the mobile fix to the cot?
A green clamp at the foot of the arm screws onto the upright rail of an ordinary baby cot and holds the arm out over the mattress. No tools are needed and it takes about a minute.
Will it fit a pram or a Moses basket?
It is made for a cot rail. The clamp needs a rail or bar to grip, so a solid-sided Moses basket or a pram hood usually has nothing for it to hold on to.
What hangs from the mobile?
Five moulded animal rattles - a pink elephant, a white rabbit, a green duck, a blue bear and a yellow monkey - below the blue and yellow butterfly that sits at the top of the arm.
Does it play music and light up?
Yes, the retail box lists music, lights and 360-degree rotation. All three work from the butterfly unit at the top of the arm.
What batteries does the cot mobile need?
AA cells, and they are not supplied with it. Fit a fresh set before the first night, because the music and the turning both draw on the same cells.
What age is a cot mobile useful from?
From birth, for the movement and the sound. Most babies get the most out of it between about six weeks and five months, after which they start reaching for the figures and the mobile usually comes down.
Can the rattles be taken off and played with?
The figures hang from the arch and are moulded rattles in their own right, which is what most parents do with them once the baby is grabbing rather than only watching.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Baby Cot Mobile in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
