Description

Most first peg puzzles are fruit, animals or vehicles. This one puts the solar system on a toddler's table: a deep blue board printed with orbit lines and white stars, and nine round pieces to lift out and put back, each with a small wooden knob on top.

The sun is the big one, a bright yellow disc sitting in the centre of the board. Around it sit eight planet pieces in their own colours: a ringed orange Saturn, a blue and green Earth with its continents, and discs in brown, grey, orange, pale blue, blue and red.

Earth and Saturn are the two a small child recognises first, and they make an easy start: find the one with the ring, find the one we live on. From there the talk grows naturally, the red planet, the hot sun in the middle, why the orbit lines go round.

The planet names are not printed on the board, so it works as a picture puzzle rather than a reading one. That keeps it usable for two-year-olds and leaves the naming to a parent, or to an older sibling showing off what they learned at school.

Knob pieces are the easiest kind of puzzle for little hands, because the pinch grip on the wooden peg is the same one later used to hold a pencil. At Rs. 520 it is also one of the least expensive peg boards we sell.

FAQs

What pieces come with the Solar System Peg Puzzle?

Nine round wooden pieces, each with a knob: a large yellow sun for the centre and eight planet discs, including a ringed Saturn and Earth, all sitting in recesses on a blue space board.

Are the planet names printed on the board?

No. The Solar System Peg Puzzle has pictures only, with no names under the planets, so a child matches by picture and a parent can teach the names aloud.

What age is it suitable for?

Knob puzzles suit children from about two. The Solar System Peg Puzzle stays interesting to four and five-year-olds who start learning planet names at school.

Why do knob pieces help small children?

Lifting a piece by a small wooden knob uses the thumb-and-finger pinch that children later need to hold a pencil, so a peg puzzle quietly builds writing readiness.

Is every piece a different size?

The sun is clearly the largest piece. Several planet discs are close in size to each other, so children often match those by the printed picture rather than by shape alone.

Does it show the planets in the correct order?

The board places the planets around the sun on printed orbit lines, but it is a picture puzzle, not a scale model. Use it to start the conversation, not as a science chart.

How is it different from your other peg boards?

Our fruit, insect and vehicle peg boards teach everyday words. The Solar System Peg Puzzle has fewer, rounder pieces and a space subject, and costs less.

Does it need supervision?

Yes for the youngest. The knobs are small wooden parts, so keep an adult nearby for children under three and check the knobs are firm before play.

Can I pay cash on delivery for Solar System Peg Puzzle in Pakistan?

Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.

How fast is delivery in Pakistan?

Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
