The green UNO Flex! box with its deck, the instruction leaflet and a row of cards ending in a Change Color power card.
Description
UNO Flex! is classic UNO with one extra decision on many of your cards. Alongside the usual numbers and actions, the deck includes Flex cards printed with an instruction such as Change Red to Blue: play one and you can change the colour in play, move a card or add more cards to an opponent's hand, depending on what the card says.
The back of the box sums it up as the classic game with a flex. You still match colour or number and still shout UNO with one card left, but a well-timed Flex card can rescue a hand that has none of the right colour, so a round rarely feels stuck.
According to the box, the pack holds 112 cards and one instruction sheet, for 2 to 10 players aged 7 and up, with a typical game lasting about 30 minutes. That is long enough for proper tactics and short enough for a second round before bedtime.
Because the rules are almost the same as classic UNO, Flex is easy to introduce: explain the Flex cards once and anyone who has played UNO is ready. Children enjoy the power of changing the colour; adults enjoy saving a Flex card for exactly the right turn.
The green tuck box is compact, so the deck travels to school, picnics and relatives' houses as easily as ordinary UNO.
