Four shapes, ten pieces, and every piece carries its own fraction printed in white — 1, 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4.
The complete board seen from above: a yellow circle printed 1, a rectangle in two 1/2 pieces, a triangle in three 1/3 pieces and a square in four 1/4 pieces.
Description
Fractions are the point where a lot of Pakistani children quietly lose confidence in maths, usually because 1/3 is taught as a pair of numbers before it is ever a thing they have held. This board fixes the order. A child picks up the triangle's red piece, sees 1/3 printed on it, and needs two more identical pieces before the triangle is a triangle again. Nothing has to be explained for that lesson to land.
Four shapes sit in four recesses cut into one square wooden tray. The circle is a single yellow piece printed 1. The rectangle splits into a green half and a red half, both printed 1/2. The triangle splits into red, yellow and blue thirds, each printed 1/3. The square splits into blue, yellow, orange and green quarters, each printed 1/4. That is ten pieces in all, and the numbers on them are the only writing on the whole toy.
Because each shape only fits its own recess, the board corrects the child rather than the parent doing it. A quarter dropped into the triangle's space sits proud and obviously wrong. Younger children use it long before fractions mean anything — matching colours, filling holes, learning that four small squares take up the same room as one big one.
The tray is plain natural wood with the grain showing through the paint on the pieces, and the pieces lift out flush without knobs or pegs, so an older child can slide them around a table like counters. There is no printing, branding or age mark anywhere on it, which also means nothing to wear off.
Teachers and home-schooling parents tend to use it for one narrow job — the halves-thirds-quarters step in Class 1 and Class 2 maths — then keep it in the cupboard for the next child. It is deliberately limited: no fifths, no sixths, no eighths. What it does cover, it covers in a way a worksheet cannot.

FAQs
Which fractions does the Wooden Fraction Board actually cover?
Halves, thirds and quarters, plus one whole. The circle is a single piece printed 1, the rectangle splits into two 1/2 pieces, the triangle into three 1/3 pieces and the square into four 1/4 pieces.
Does it include fifths, sixths or eighths?
No. The board stops at quarters. If you need denominators past four, this is not the right board — it is built for the first fractions step, not the whole syllabus.
What are the fraction pieces made of?
Painted wood. The paint is thin enough that the grain is still visible through the colour on the halves and quarters, and the tray underneath is plain natural wood.
Are the pieces easy for small hands to lift out?
They sit flush with no knobs, so a toddler usually tips the board to shake them free while an older child lifts them with a fingernail. If you want pegs to grip, choose a knobbed peg puzzle instead.
Can a child too young for fractions still use it?
Yes — from about three it works as a shape and colour matching tray, because each shape only fits its own recess. The printed fractions simply start meaning something later.
Is there an age printed on the board?
No age, brand or size is printed anywhere on this board. We suggest three years and up, with an adult nearby for younger children because the quarter pieces are small enough to go in a mouth.
Is it useful for school or tuition use?
It suits one-to-one teaching of the halves, thirds and quarters step in Class 1 and Class 2. For a full class you would want several boards, since only one child can work on a tray at a time.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the pieces and the tray with a barely damp cloth and dry them straight away. Do not soak painted wood or leave it in water, as the paint will lift at the edges.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Wooden Fraction Board in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
