We sell two small wicket sets and both cost Rs. 400, so the useful thing this page can do is tell you which one to pick. This is the Aqeel. It is beige instead of white, so it passes for wood from a few steps away, and its base takes water as well as sand. The other one is the Boom, which is plain white and wants sand or soil. That is the whole decision.

The base is hollow with a small plug in the side. Pour water in and the set has enough weight to stay upright when a child hits it; tip the water out and it goes home weighing next to nothing. If you have ever carried a bag of sand to a park so the stumps would stand up, you will understand why water matters.

Each of the three stumps has AQEEL moulded into the plastic and two bails sit across the top. It is the smaller version of the same Aqeel set we sell at 30 inches, built for younger children who do not need a full-height target yet, and it comes in at Rs. 200 less than the big one.

Aqeel do not publish a height for the small set, so we are not going to invent one. What we can tell you from the photographs is that it is noticeably shorter than their 30 inch set while using the same stumps, the same bails and the same fillable base design.

The body is non-breakable plastic and Aqeel grade it premium quality, which for a children's wicket means it flexes when someone runs into it rather than snapping. It stands on concrete, grass, matting, a driveway or a hall floor, indoors or out.
