Front cover of the Canson XL Dessin Noir 150gsm deep black drawing pad showing 40 micro-perforated sheets.
Description
The Canson XL Dessin Noir Black Paper Sketch Pad is an elite dark-surface paper block crafted by Canson France for dramatic chiaroscuro drawings, celestial art, and vibrant contrast illustrations. Each pad contains 40 sheets of heavyweight 150 g/m² (92 lb) deep black paper bound with a durable wire spiral.
Unlike surface-printed black papers that reveal white paper pulp when erased or scratched, Canson Dessin Noir is mass-dyed (pulp-tinted) through its entire core. This provides an intensely uniform, deep matte black background that will never fade, scuff white, or bleed color.
The paper is double-sided for artistic versatility: one side features a fine grain texture that grips soft pastels, chalks, oil pastels, and colored pencils with rich velvety saturation, while the reverse side is smooth for precise metallic pens, white ink gel pens, and acrylic paint markers.
The 150gsm card weight provides sturdy support that easily holds opaque white gouache washes, silver/gold calligraphy inks, and multiple pencil layers without buckling.
Constructed with a top twin-wire spiral spine and micro-perforations for clean page removal without jagged margins.
Available in two standard formats: portable A4 at Rs. 2,900 for everyday illustration and coursework, and expansive A3 at Rs. 4,895 for large-scale portraits and gallery submissions.
Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan. Stock, sizes, city and delivery charges are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch, with nationwide delivery taking 3-5 working days.
