Front cover of the Canson 1557 Extra White 120gsm drawing pad showing 50 sheets in A5 format.
Description
The Canson 1557 Extra White Drawing Pad is named in tribute to the founding year of the Canson paper dynasty. Each pad contains 50 sheets of 120 g/m² (73.7 lb) pure extra-white drawing cartridge paper designed to deliver maximum value contrast and razor-sharp tonal separation.
Manufactured with internal and surface sizing from 100% alpha-cellulose fibres, Canson 1557 paper withstands multiple successive erasures, blending stump rubbing, and scraping without shedding paper fluff or delaminating surface fibres.
The brilliant pure white tone provides an expansive dynamic range: deep black 6B-9B graphite shades and dark charcoals stand out with striking contrast, allowing artists to create luminous three-dimensional highlights naturally without heavy white opaques.
The fine grain texture strikes a flawless balance between smooth pencil glide and responsive tooth. Colored pencils, technical drafting pens, fineliners, and graphite pencils lay down smooth, even gradients without streaking.
Supplied in compact A5 format (14.8 x 21 cm) with 50 acid-free archival sheets glued along the short edge at the verified Safencia price of Rs. 1,550, it is an indispensable drawing pad for architecture students, portrait artists, and designers.
