The bottle every stone-work table in Pakistan already knows: a crimson body with a green Fevicryl cap, the words fabric glue in a pink panel, and the name repeated underneath in Devanagari, Bengali and Urdu script. The paisley on the front is made entirely of pearls and stones, which tells you what it is for before you read a word.
Fabric glue is not ordinary craft glue in a different bottle. Cloth moves — it drapes, it creases, it goes over a shoulder and gets sat on — and a glue that dries hard simply cracks off the first time the fabric bends. A fabric adhesive is made to stay flexible in the cloth so the bond travels with it.
