Alcohol keeps the ink live for a few seconds, so colours bloom into each other and feather rather than sitting where the brush left them.
The black bottle with its long white needle spout, labelled Alcohol Ink in English, French and Spanish.
Description
A 20 ml bottle with a long white needle spout, carrying Marabu's red-and-black label and the product name in three languages — ALCOHOL INK / ENCRE À L'ALCOOL / TINTA DE ALCOHOL. Each colour has its own number printed on a coloured disc: Black 073, Cherry Red 031, the blue printed as Gention 057, Lemon 020, Metallic Gold 784 and Metallic Silver 782. The volume is stated as 0.67 US fl. oz / 20 ml.
Alcohol ink does not behave like any other colour in this shop, and that is the whole point of it. It is transparent dye carried in alcohol, so it dries in seconds, and while it is still wet a drop of alcohol pushes it around: colours bloom into each other, spread in feathered edges, and leave the marbled, cloudy pattern that nobody can draw on purpose. The technique is essentially controlled accident, which is why the results look nothing like painting.
It needs a surface that will not absorb it. On paper it soaks straight in and dies. On something non-porous — synthetic yupo paper, glazed tile, glass, acrylic sheet, metal, resin, the inside of a phone case — the ink stays on the surface and keeps moving until the alcohol has gone. That is where alcohol ink coasters, resin jewellery, painted tiles and ink-bloom bookmarks all come from.
The two metallics are the reason a set like this earns its price. Metallic Gold 784 and Metallic Silver 782 float on top of a colour rather than mixing into it, so a gold thread can be dropped across a red bloom and stay gold — the effect that makes alcohol-ink coasters and resin work look expensive.
It is sold one bottle at a time at Rs. 1,200, which is the sensible way to start. Two colours and a metallic will teach you more about how the ink moves than six bottles will, and the technique matters far more than the palette.
This one carries real hazard marking, and we will not soften it: the label shows the health-hazard and flammable pictograms with the words WARNING! DANGER. Use it in a ventilated room, away from any flame, well out of reach of children, and let an adult handle the bottle. Rs. 1,200 for 20 ml, with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan.

FAQs
What surfaces does alcohol ink work on?
Non-porous ones. Marabu Alcohol Ink stays live on yupo, glazed tile, glass, acrylic sheet, metal and cured resin; on ordinary paper it soaks in and the blooming stops.
Which colours can I order?
Six, each at Rs. 1,200 — Black 073, Cherry Red 031, the blue printed as Gention 057, Lemon 020, Metallic Gold 784 and Metallic Silver 782.
How do I make the colours spread?
Drop them close together while still wet, or add a drop of alcohol between them. Marabu Alcohol Ink keeps moving until the alcohol evaporates, which is a matter of seconds.
Why buy the metallic colours?
They behave differently. Metallic Gold 784 and Metallic Silver 782 float on a wet colour rather than mixing into it, so the metal thread stays visible.
Is it safe for children?
No. The bottle carries the health-hazard and flammable pictograms with WARNING! DANGER, so it needs a ventilated room, no flame nearby, and an adult handling it.
How long does it take to dry?
Seconds, because the carrier is alcohol rather than water or oil. That speed is why a piece using Marabu Alcohol Ink is finished in one sitting.
How much is in a bottle?
20 ml, printed on the label as 0.67 US fl. oz. Because the ink is applied in drops, a bottle covers far more work than the number suggests.
Does the finished piece need sealing?
For anything handled, yes — alcohol ink can be re-dissolved by alcohol, including hand sanitiser. A clear varnish or a resin pour is what fixes it.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Marabu Alcohol Ink in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Tell us on WhatsApp which colour you want. Orders are confirmed before dispatch, and delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities.
