Buy Ink Online in Pakistan
“Ink” is one word covering four products that cannot be swapped for each other. Fountain pen ink is thin and water-based and belongs in a pen that can draw from a bottle. Cartridges are the same ink sealed into a plastic tube for pens that cannot. Whiteboard refill lifts off a glossy board and permanent marking ink is built never to lift at all. Put any one of them in the wrong place and you either ruin a pen, ruin a board, or spend an afternoon with a bottle of solvent. Safencia stocks 19 of them, from Rs. 45 to Rs. 3,650, and the tabs above split them the way they actually differ.
One number is worth carrying into any ink shelf, including ours. When we recorded every in-stock ink listing at a major Pakistani stationery retailer on 28 July 2026, twelve products were live and only two of the twelve stated what you actually receive — how many cartridges are in the box, or whether a photograph of a carton means one bottle or a dozen. The other ten sold a picture and a bottle size. That gap is the reason every listing on this page counts the contents out loud, and the reason the Nafees pages say in the first paragraph that the twelve-bottle carton in the photograph is the shop pack and not what arrives at your door.
Which ink do you actually need?
Start with the thing you are filling, never with the price. A pen and a marker want opposite properties from an ink — one needs it to stay liquid and flow through a narrow feed, the other needs it to dry fast and grip a surface — so the cheapest bottle on the shelf is the wrong answer roughly three times out of four.
If a child is filling it themselves
Buy washable. A fountain pen ink with a washable mark on the carton turns ink on a white shirt into a laundry job instead of a new uniform, and at Rs. 50 a bottle a student can replace it out of their own pocket money rather than waiting for the next trip to the market.
If your pen will not take a bottle
Check the barrel before you buy either one. A pen with a converter or a piston draws from a bottle; a cartridge-only pen needs cartridges or a converter fitted first. Send us a photograph of the pen with the barrel unscrewed on WhatsApp and we will tell you which you have before you order.
If the whiteboard will not wipe clean
Suspect the board before the ink. A dry-erase refill lifts off a glossy melamine or glass surface and sinks into a porous one, so a board whose gloss has worn chalky will ghost no matter how fresh the marker is. Test a corner before refilling anything.
If you refill markers in a closed store room
Read the solvent line. Xylene and toluene are what give a cheap permanent marking ink its headache smell, and the Dollar Allmark carton states the formula leaves both out. In a ventilated yard it hardly matters; in a locked stock room with one small window it is the whole difference.

Ink FAQs
What is the price of ink in Pakistan?
Safencia's inks run from Rs. 45 to Rs. 3,650. Pakistani-made school ink from Nafees and Dollar sits at the bottom of that range, marker refills and cartridge packs in the middle, and imported Parker and Pelikan fountain pen ink at the top. The current price is printed on every product card.
Can I use fountain pen ink in a marker?
No. Fountain pen ink is thin and water-based, so it floods a marker's felt and runs straight through the tip. Whiteboard markers need dry-erase refill ink and permanent markers need permanent marking ink, and each is sold separately on this page.
What happens if I refill a whiteboard marker with permanent ink?
You get writing that will not wipe off the board. Removing it needs solvent and often leaves a ghost on melamine, so the mistake costs a whiteboard rather than a bottle. Keep the whiteboard and permanent cartons on separate shelves — Piano makes it easier by using a blue box for one and a yellow box for the other.
Which ink is washable for a school uniform?
The Nafees Classic+ 35 ml bottles and the Nafees 500 ml bottle carry washable marks on their cartons, and Dollar makes its fountain pen ink washable too. Rinse a fresh mark in cold water before it dries and wash normally — any ink of any brand is harder to shift once it has set for days.
What is the difference between an ink bottle and an ink cartridge?
A bottle is cheaper per fill and works out far better over years, but it needs a pen with a converter or a piston. A cartridge is sealed, cannot spill in a school bag and fits pens that cannot draw from a bottle. Many people keep a bottle at home and cartridges in the bag.
How do I refill a marker so it writes straight away?
Shake the bottle first, because pigment settles on a shelf. Add ink a few drops at a time rather than filling the barrel, then leave the marker tip-down for a few minutes so the felt draws ink to the tip. Both steps are printed on the Piano cartons and both matter.
Does an expensive ink write better than a cheap one?
Not in a school pen, no. What Rs. 900 buys from Pelikan is a colour — violet or brilliant brown — that no cheap bottle offers, and what Parker's 57 ml bottle buys is years of ink in one purchase. For everyday blue handwriting a Rs. 50 Nafees bottle does the same job.
Is Cash on Delivery available for ink across Pakistan?
Yes. Safencia offers Cash on Delivery nationwide. WhatsApp is used to confirm stock, the colour and size where an ink is made in several, your delivery city and the delivery charges before dispatch.
