Description
An eraser pencil solves a problem a block eraser cannot: taking one small mark out of the middle of finished work without touching anything around it. Sharpen it like an ordinary pencil and the white eraser core comes to a point fine enough to lift a single line.
Both ends earn their place. The core is wood-cased, so a standard sharpener gives you whatever point you need — fine for a highlight in an eye, blunter for a wider clean-up. At the other end is a flat black brush, and it is not decoration: erasing leaves crumbs, and sweeping them away with the side of your hand is how a careful drawing gets smudged.
Mont Marte prints the purpose on the card as Precision Erasing, which is a fair description of what these do and do not do. They will not clear a large area quickly; a block eraser is faster for that. What they will do is take a stray line out of dense shading and leave the shading intact.
The pack holds two green pencils, each printed Eraser Pencil along the barrel, sealed in a blister on the Signature card and labelled in English, French and Spanish.
One practical note. Eraser cores are softer than graphite, so sharpen gently and take a little at a time. If you want a long, fine point for detailed work, a craft knife gives more control than a pencil sharpener.
