Bigger than the usual 68mm street ball, which makes it easier to sight early and gives the bat more to hit.
Two Original Fine Gold 74mm tape balls on display stands, showing the yellow felt and the red Fine Gold crown logo printed on each ball.
Description
At 74mm across, the Original Fine Gold is the biggest tape ball we sell in our range of cricket balls in Pakistan. Most street balls sit around 68mm, so this one is noticeably larger in the hand, and at roughly 70g per ball it is the heaviest too. That combination is deliberate: more mass means the ball carries through the air instead of dying on a rough surface, and a bigger ball is easier to pick up early against a dark background.
It is made without a joint. On cheaper rubber balls the core is moulded in halves and joined, which leaves a seam — and a seam is where a ball eventually splits after a few hundred deliveries. A jointless core has no weak line to give way, which is why this one is graded for tournaments rather than casual knockabouts.
The rubber is pressed to an extra tight pressure. In practice that means it comes off the bat harder and keeps its bounce longer into a session, rather than going soft and dead the way a loose ball does after an hour in the sun.
Fine Gold list it in golden and yellow. The balls photographed here are the yellow version, printed with the red Fine Gold crown logo. Tell us on WhatsApp which colour you would prefer and we will check what is on the shelf before dispatch.
The balls come in three pack sizes: three for Rs. 1,000, six for Rs. 1,650 or twelve for Rs. 3,250. Per ball that is about Rs. 333, Rs. 275 and Rs. 271, so each step up costs less a ball, and the twelve pack is Rs. 50 less than buying two packs of six. Three is enough to try the ball in a few net sessions; six suits a side that plays every weekend; twelve is for a team or a tournament organiser stocking up for a season.
Safencia sells all three packs alongside our full collection of cricket equipment in Pakistan with Cash on Delivery nationwide. Choose your pack on this page and message us on WhatsApp, and we will confirm stock, your colour, your city and the delivery charge before anything is dispatched.

FAQs
How big is 74mm compared to a normal tape ball?
Noticeably bigger. A standard street tape ball is around 68mm, so this one is about 6mm wider. It is easier to see coming and gives the bat a larger target, which is why bigger balls are popular for evening and night cricket.
What does 'without joint' mean on a tape ball?
It means the rubber core has no moulded seam running around it. Balls made in two halves are joined, and that join is usually where the ball eventually splits. A jointless ball has no such weak line, so it survives longer.
How much does one Fine Gold ball weigh?
About 70g on its own. The 150g figure sometimes quoted includes the packaging. At 70g it is the heaviest tape ball in our range, which is what lets it carry through the air on a slow outfield.
Which colours are available?
Fine Gold list this ball in golden and yellow. The photographs on this page show the yellow one with the red Fine Gold crown logo. Send your preference on WhatsApp and we will confirm which colour is in stock.
Which pack should I buy: 3, 6 or 12?
It depends on how often you play. A pack of three (Rs. 1,000) is enough to try the ball in a few net sessions. A pack of six (Rs. 1,650) covers a side that plays every weekend and loses the odd ball over a wall. A pack of twelve (Rs. 3,250) is the cheapest per ball, about Rs. 271 each, and costs Rs. 50 less than two packs of six.
Can these balls be taped for tape ball cricket?
Yes, that is exactly what they are for. Electrical tape goes straight onto the felt in the usual way. Many players also use them untaped for softer street games, since the rubber is tight enough to bounce well on its own.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Original Fine Gold 74mm in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
