Each colour sits in its own carrier with a release button, so one spent pan does not retire the box.
The box open — twelve pans in two rows of six, with the 7.5 ml Chinese White tube in its own slot.
Description
A blue paint box with twelve round colours in two rows of six and a white hinged lid moulded into six large round mixing wells and a long rectangular one. Beside the pans, in its own slot, is a Pelikan tube reading Deckweiß, Chinese White, Blanc de Chine, Bianco di Cina — 7.5 ml. The tray itself is embossed Deckfarbkasten and Water Colors.
Deckfarbkasten is the word to notice. It means an opaque colour box, and that is genuinely a different animal from the transparent pans further along this shelf. Transparent watercolour builds a picture by letting the paper glow through the washes. Opaque colour covers, so a light shade can go over a dark one and a mistake can be painted out rather than lived with — which is why this format has been the European school paint box for generations.
The pans lift out. Each colour sits in its own moulded carrier with a small round button beneath it, so a spent or ruined pan comes away on its own and the rest of the box carries on. That is a real difference from a tray where the colours are set into fixed wells: a set that can be repaired one pan at a time does not have to be replaced whole.
The twelve run yellow, orange, red, magenta, violet and blue across the back, then a deeper blue, green, light green, deep yellow, orange-red and black across the front. Add the Chinese White in the tube and you have both ends of the range, which is exactly what an opaque set needs — with no white you cannot use the covering power you paid for.
Rs. 1,900 is Rs. 158.33 a colour, and it is the dearest of the three paint boxes we stock: our Giotto Acquerelli tray is Rs. 120.83 a cake and our Deli EC10-21 set is Rs. 75.24. The lift-out pans, the 7.5 ml white tube and the seven-well lid are what the difference buys.
We list this box from 6 years up. The Safencia price is Rs. 1,900 with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan, and stock, your city and delivery charges are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.

FAQs
Is this transparent watercolour or opaque?
Opaque. The tray is embossed Deckfarbkasten, which is the German for opaque colour box, and the white supplied with it is a covering Chinese White rather than a tinting one.
Can I replace a single colour?
Yes, and that is the point of the design. Each pan sits in its own carrier with a small release button underneath, so one colour lifts out without disturbing the other eleven.
What is the tube for?
It is 7.5 ml of Pelikan Deckweiß — Chinese White. Opaque painting needs a white you can mix into a colour or lay over a dark area, which a pan of water-thinned paint cannot do.
How many mixing wells does the lid have?
Seven in total: six large round wells and one long rectangular well, all moulded into the white hinged lid.
Which twelve colours are included?
Yellow, orange, red, magenta, violet and blue in the back row, then a deeper blue, green, light green, deep yellow, orange-red and black in the front row.
Why is it dearer than the Giotto tray?
Rs. 158.33 a colour here against Rs. 120.83 for our Giotto Acquerelli set. The lift-out pan carriers, the 7.5 ml white tube and the seven-well lid are the difference.
Is it a school paint box or an artist's set?
A school and home box, and a serious one. For transparent artist watercolour in pans, our Daler-Rowney Aquafine Studio Set of forty-eight is the set to look at instead.
What age is it suitable for?
We list it from 6 years up. Opaque colour is forgiving of mistakes, which suits a beginner better than transparent washes do.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Pelikan 12 Paint Box in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
