Description
This spark katana is a light-up toy sword that puts on three effects at once. Draw the 80 cm sword from its sheath and a burst of sparks flies from the sheath mouth, the black blade lights up in flowing colours from guard to tip, and with a little water in the hilt a cloud of mist drifts off the guard like smoke.
The blade is black with a light strip along its cutting edge, so the colours seem to pour down it, and a pattern of small cut-outs near the guard glows as well. The guard is a square red tsuba, the grip is black with red panels and a lanyard hole at the end, and the charging port sits in the base of the handle.
The sheath is part of the show. It is black with chevron markings and red end caps, about 9.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm thick, and the raised section at its mouth holds the flint that throws the sparks as the blade slides out.
The sword plays sound effects as it is swung, and it charges by USB, so there are no disposable batteries to keep buying and it is ready for the next battle after a top-up.
