The 24 is Rs. 2,850 and the 36 is Rs. 2,900. Skip the 24 — it is the worst value on our pastel shelf.
The 36-colour set, which costs only Rs. 50 more than the 24 and is the size worth ordering.
Description
This is the BLUE box. Mungyo sells soft pastels in two ranges, and the blue one holds full-size sticks while the yellow one holds half-length minis — our Mungyo Half Soft Pastels page covers those. Neither box says half or full in English on the front, so if you have been handed a shelf photograph and told to order, the box colour is the thing to check.
Before you choose a size, look hard at the middle of this price list, because there is an anomaly in it worth real money. The sets are 12 at Rs. 1,400, 24 at Rs. 2,850, 36 at Rs. 2,900 and 48 at Rs. 3,850. Going from 24 sticks to 36 costs Rs. 50. Fifty rupees for twelve more full-size pastels. That drops the price per stick from Rs. 118.75 in the 24-set to Rs. 80.56 in the 36 — the 24 is the worst buy on our entire pastel shelf, and almost nobody ordering it knows that.
The 48 at Rs. 80.21 a stick is fractionally better again, so the sensible pattern is: buy the 12 to try the range, then jump straight to the 36 or the 48. There is no reason to own the 24.
The boxes are printed MUNGYO, Soft Pastel, For Artists and Pastels tendres pour artistes, with the colour count flashed on the corner and codes MPV-12, MPV-24, MPV-36 or MPV-48. The bullet list reads Finest pigment, Very Soft touch, Shade off easily and Brilliant colors, repeated in French, and the box carries a line reading The real size of each stick beside a size diagram — which is how the maker distinguishes this range from the mini one. CE and AP marks appear on the front.
Full-size sticks earn their place when you are covering ground. A larger sheet, broad side-strokes, or a piece where a single colour has to lay down a whole sky is where a half stick runs out and a full one does not. For everything else, the yellow-box minis at roughly half the price per colour are the better student purchase, and we would rather say so than sell up.
It suits artists and senior students from about 10 years up. The Safencia price starts at Rs. 1,400 with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan. Stock, the set size you want, your city, and delivery charges are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.

FAQs
Which size of Mungyo Soft Pastels For Artists should I buy?
The 36 or the 48, never the 24. Mungyo Soft Pastels For Artists cost Rs. 2,850 for 24 and Rs. 2,900 for 36 — Rs. 50 buys twelve more sticks, dropping the price per stick from Rs. 118.75 to Rs. 80.56.
How do I tell these from your half soft pastels?
The box colour. Mungyo Soft Pastels For Artists come in the BLUE box with full-length sticks; the yellow box is the mini range at roughly half the price per colour.
Are full-size sticks worth twice the price?
Only when you are covering ground. Mungyo Soft Pastels For Artists suit large sheets and broad side-strokes where a mini runs out mid-passage; for most students the yellow-box minis are the better buy.
How many colours do I actually need?
More than you expect, because pastel is mixed on the paper rather than on a palette. A 36-set of Mungyo Soft Pastels For Artists gives enough close tones to shade without muddying, which a 12 cannot.
What paper works best?
Something with tooth. Mungyo Soft Pastels For Artists need a textured surface for the powder to grip — pastel or cartridge paper holds it where a smooth copier sheet simply will not.
Will the sticks break in the post?
Soft pastels are fragile by nature, which is why they ship seated in moulded trays. A stick of Mungyo Soft Pastels For Artists that arrives snapped still works perfectly — pastel is used in pieces as often as whole.
Do I need to fix a finished pastel picture?
Yes, or frame it under glass. Work made with Mungyo Soft Pastels For Artists stays as loose pigment on the surface and will smudge if it is stacked or handled unprotected.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Mungyo Soft Pastels For Artists in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch, including which set size you want. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
