Fitting one takes a moment: unscrew the barrel, push the cartridge onto the nib section until the seal breaks with a click, screw the barrel back and hold the pen nib-down for a minute so ink reaches the feed. If the first line is dry, a light squeeze on the cartridge starts the flow.
