Description

This is the set on our shelf that quietly does something none of its price rivals do: it prints the pigment index code for every single colour, in small type under the name, on the tube itself. Twelve tubes of 20 ml, in a white and rainbow carton marked The Fine Quality SAKURA ACRYLIC COLOR with 20ml x 12colors and the Japanese アクリル絵具 beneath.

The twelve, with the codes exactly as printed: #50 Titanium White PW6, #3 Lemon Yellow PY3, #7 Yellow Ochre PY43, #12 Burnt Sienna PR101, #18 Vermillion PR170, #19 Crimson Red PR21, #24 Purple PV23, #36 Cobalt Blue PB28, #37 Prussian Blue PB27, #27 Yellow Green PG7/PY3, #29 Viridian PG7 and #49 Mars Black PBk11.

Two of those deserve pointing at. **#36 Cobalt Blue is PB28** — genuine cobalt aluminate, not an imitation. Cobalt is an expensive pigment, so nearly every student set on our shelf substitutes a cheap phthalo mix and labels it Cobalt Blue Hue; our Faber-Castell set does exactly that, and costs more per millilitre than this one. **#37 Prussian Blue is PB27**, the real iron-based pigment rather than a phthalo stand-in. Getting either at this price is unusual; getting both is why this page exists.

On price, twelve 20 ml tubes is 240 ml, so Rs. 2,495 works out to Rs. 207.92 a tube and Rs. 10.40 a millilitre. That is mid-table on our shelf — dearer than Marie's, Keep Smiling and Art Rangers, cheaper than our Faber-Castell 12-set at Rs. 13.89 and far cheaper than Daler-Rowney System 3 at Rs. 23.73. Against Faber-Castell in particular the comparison is stark: Sakura is 25% cheaper per millilitre and gives you real cobalt where Faber-Castell gives you a hue.

Why does the pigment code matter at all? Because it tells you what will happen when you mix and how the colour will age. Two tubes both called Purple can behave completely differently; PV23 is dioxazine, which is transparent and staining, and knowing that saves you a ruined passage. It is the single most useful piece of information a paint label can carry, and most sets at this price simply do not carry it.

We list this set from 10 years up. The Safencia price is Rs. 2,495 with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan. Stock, your city and delivery charges are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.

FAQs

What makes the Sakura Acrylic Color set of 12 different at this price?

It prints the pigment index code for every colour on the tube. The Sakura Acrylic Color set of 12 gives you PW6, PY3, PR101, PB28 and the rest in small type under each name — information most sets at this price omit entirely.

Is the cobalt blue real cobalt?

Yes. #36 Cobalt Blue in the Sakura Acrylic Color set of 12 prints PB28, which is genuine cobalt aluminate. Most student sets substitute a cheap phthalo mix and label it Cobalt Blue Hue — our Faber-Castell set does exactly that.

How does it compare with your Faber-Castell 12-set?

Better and cheaper. The Sakura Acrylic Color set of 12 is Rs. 10.40 a millilitre against Rs. 13.89 for Faber-Castell, and it uses real cobalt and real Prussian blue where Faber-Castell uses a hue.

Which twelve colours are included?

Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Vermillion, Crimson Red, Purple, Cobalt Blue, Prussian Blue, Yellow Green, Viridian and Mars Black. Every tube in the Sakura Acrylic Color set of 12 is numbered and coded.

Why does a pigment code matter?

It predicts behaviour. Two tubes called Purple can mix completely differently; the PV23 in the Sakura Acrylic Color set of 12 is dioxazine — transparent and staining — and knowing that before you mix saves you a ruined passage.

Is it the cheapest set you sell?

No. At Rs. 10.40 a millilitre this set sits above our Marie, Keep Smiling and Art Rangers boxes. What the extra buys is the pigment documentation none of those three print anywhere.

How much paint is in the set?

240 ml. The Sakura Acrylic Color set of 12 holds twelve tubes of 20 ml, printed on the carton as 20ml x 12colors, which comes to Rs. 207.92 a tube.

Is it suitable for children?

We list the Sakura Acrylic Color set of 12 from 10 years up. It is an artists' material rather than a toy, and dried acrylic will not wash out of clothes.

Can I pay cash on delivery for Sakura Acrylic 12 x 20ml in Pakistan?

Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.

How fast is delivery in Pakistan?

Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
