Description
The Nocks is a click eraser: a slim black barrel with a white eraser stick that advances out of the tip as you work. Press the button on top like a mechanical pencil and a little more comes forward, so the working end stays sharp instead of wearing down to a useless rounded stub.
The tip is what makes it worth owning. A grey collet grips the stick and leaves only a few millimetres exposed, which is what lets you take a single pencil line out of dense shading without disturbing the tone around it. A block eraser cannot get near that kind of work.
It refills rather than being thrown away. Sakura's refill is coded XHNE-A and the sleeve is printed Made in Japan; a fresh stick drops straight into the barrel. Buying refills rather than a new pen each time is the cheaper way to keep one going.
The barrel carries a ribbed grip section above the tip and a grey pocket clip, so it sits in a pencil case like a pen and will not roll off a sloped drawing board.
