The barrel carries ARCHIVAL INK in three languages beside the AP seal, so the permanence claim comes from the maker, not from a listing.
A single Micron 01 with the cap off, showing the fine nib and the ARCHIVAL INK line printed down the barrel.
Description
The pen that ink drawing is built on, sold one at a time. The cream barrel carries the Sakura blossom mark, the word MICRON, the nib code in colour, and the line that matters: ARCHIVAL INK, repeated as Qualité d'Archivage and Tinta de Archive, beside the AP seal.
Micron sizes are codes, not millimetres, and that is worth understanding before you order. The range runs 005, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 08 and a BR brush tip, each code printed on its own barrel in a different colour so a fistful of pens can be sorted at a glance. The nothing printed anywhere on the pen is a millimetre figure, so we do not quote one — what the range photograph does show is Sakura's own chart of the actual strokes, drawn one under the other, which is the only comparison that means anything on paper.
Buying singly is the point. A nine-pen set is a lot of money spent guessing, and most people who draw in ink live on two or three weights: something very fine for texture, something middling for the drawing itself, and something heavy for the outline that has to hold the page together. Buy those three, find out which one you actually finish first, and replace that one.
The BR is not a size, it is a brush. Instead of a rigid nib it has a flexible tip that widens under pressure, which is how a line goes from hairline to thick inside a single stroke — the stroke calligraphy, comic inking and hand lettering are built on. It costs the same Rs. 375 as every other pen in the range.
Archival ink is a specific promise printed on the barrel, and it is the reason architects, comic artists and anyone inking over pencil reach for these. On a black fineliner the fear is always the same: the drawing survives, the ink does not. This is a pen whose maker prints its permanence on the barrel rather than leaving it to a listing.

FAQs
What size is 005 in millimetres?
Nothing on the pen states a millimetre figure, so we do not quote one. The Pigma Micron range is ordered by code — 005 is the finest and 08 the broadest of the coded nibs.
Which sizes can I order?
005, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 08 and the BR brush tip. Every Pigma Micron in that list is Rs. 375, so the size costs nothing extra either way.
The range photo shows a 1.0 as well — is that stocked?
The photograph is Sakura's own line-up of the full family. What we can supply is the eight listed above, so order from that list rather than from the picture.
What is the BR pen?
A brush tip rather than a rigid nib. It flexes under pressure, so a single Pigma Micron BR stroke can widen from a hairline to a broad mark for lettering or comic work.
Which sizes should a beginner buy?
Three is usually enough — a fine one for texture, a middling one for the drawing, and a heavier one for outlines. Buying Pigma Micron pens singly is what makes that possible.
Is the ink waterproof over pencil?
The barrel states archival ink and carries the AP seal, and nothing more specific is printed on it. Test a stroke on the same paper before erasing pencil under it.
Does it work in a sketchbook and on smooth paper?
Fine nibs prefer smooth paper. On heavily textured watercolour paper the finest Pigma Micron codes catch on the tooth, so the middle sizes are the safer choice there.
How should the pen be stored?
Capped and flat rather than nib-down. A fine nib left uncapped dries out quickly, which is the usual reason a good pen stops writing.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Pigma Micron in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Tell us on WhatsApp which nib code you want. Orders are confirmed before dispatch, and delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities.
